WIRE SCULPTURE

My birds are gesture drawings in wire. I am fascinated by the sense of volume achieved when wire is layered and wrapped, as well as the beautiful shadows cast when light interacts with intricate three -dimensional lines. Each bird is perched on a stone I found while exploring islands and beaches along the coast of Maine.
