I have always loved creating things. Since graduating from college with a degree in studio art, I have explored jobs in graphic art, illustration, jewelry making, interior design and textile design. Throughout these years, my interest in painting has been a constant. After working in oil paints for many years, I decided to switch to acrylics. The quick drying property of acrylic was at first extremely frustrating, but the added ability to build layers quickly and to be able to apply collage elements won me over. With this opportunity to work differently, and a few classes, I began a gradual shift away from figurative work toward abstraction.
